Would You Rather Post on Twitter Or on Instagram?

Would you rather post on Twitter or on Instagram? In recent months there has been a fair bit of press about the many different social media sites, not just Twitter. It is time to consider that in your marketing mix to decide whether or not a particular social media site is right for you.

If you are looking for something that allows you to be more interactive then why not use Twitter. Whilst it is true that it is a lot less interactive than Facebook you can really get involved and give your followers a way to interact with you and keep them up to date with what you are doing. Also Twitter is a lot more user friendly than Facebook. Twitter allows you to send out direct messages, meaning you don't have to manually type out text messages, and also, if you use Twitter for business then you can send out links to your website.

Also if you are worried about privacy then Twitter is the clear winner when it comes to privacy. By allowing people to send links to your website and allow your account to be updated by your followers it enables people to keep track of your updates and gives them a reason to keep coming back and become more informed.

If you are someone who likes to keep up to date with what's going on in your industry and the world around you then why not try using Instagram. Instagram allows you to have personalized cards which you can share with your followers and encourage them to do the same, therefore you can keep a log of your thoughts.

As a point of fact Instagram allows you to do more than just share a photo; you can add any picture you want and encourage your followers to add theirs to the card too. This can really help you to build up a loyal following which remains loyal, if they can find their own personalized contact cards, which they keep coming back to. However if you are someone who prefers to keep things a little more personal and will only want to keep one level of interaction between you and your followers then why not try Facebook. Facebook is the social networking site that you would be most comfortable with if you are new to the world of social media.

As you can see Twitter and Instagram can be very useful in different ways depending on your needs, if you want to keep up to date with your followers whilst not giving away too much personal information then go with Twitter and Instagram. For those who wish to stay completely anonymous however and want to be kept all to themselves then there is no reason why you cannot keep your thoughts and updates to yourself on Facebook.
